£8.00 – £30.00
Our popular Virtual 5k Series Is back!!!
This is a virtual running competition where everyone is welcome, regardless of ability! The series starts on 1st January 2021 and runs for 10 weeks up to and including 28th February.
How does the series work?
All you need to do is run 5km on five different occasions over the 10 week period. After each run simply email in proof of your run (either a link to your Strava, a screenshot, your Garmin data) to info@tri-energy.co.uk and we will keep tabs of your runs. If you complete these five runs, you will earn your medal!
Unfortunately, due to potential calibration problems, we can not accept any 5k results from treadmill runs.
How do I move up the leaderboard?
Everyone who does 5 of the 5k runs will receive a medal, regardless of pace. However for the more competitive, you may like to aim to climb the leaderboard! Your best 3 runs will count for the results standings (we use the average pace from these 3 runs). You can continue to improve these runs over the 10 week period, and we’ll just make sure your best runs are recorded.
Last year we had enough entries to not only do overall first, second and third trophies; but also the podium trophies for different age groups too. So we hope to do that again this years, numbers depending.
How will I stay motivated over the 10 week competition?
We will send weekly emails to you with the following:
- Meet the runners – we’ll introduce you to other runners in the competition so you can follow their journey
- Running tips and tricks to help you progress each week
- Weekly competitions to keep it interesting
What’s the minimum age?
The minimum age for the series is 14. However we do have a Junior Category for the youngsters out there who will follow the same competition format but over 2k instead of 5k.
How much does it cost?
You choose! We’ve put a range of options on so that you can pay whatever you feel most comfortable with.
